Where are you located?

Currently, we are providing services at 546 High Mountain Road, Suite 1 (1st Floor), North Haledon, New Jersey 07508.
Parking for clients is available at the rear of the building, and our suite is handicap accessible.

Do you take insurance?

Yes! We are currently In Network with most major insurance providers. Check out our insurance page to verify your individual plan benefits.

How do I know how much my sessions will cost using my insurance?

We currently use Headway to take care of verifying benefits and billing to your insurance company, and they will verify your coverage for you upon creating a patient profile! Or, we suggest checking your coverage using this free tool: https://headway.co/insurance/form

What is your cancellation policy?

For sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice or for appointment no-shows, there is a $50 cancellation fee that will be charged. Please note: this fee cannot be charged to or reimbursed by your insurance.

There is no charge for cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice. Appointments may be canceled by contacting your individual therapist via phone or email.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

We do! However, for legal reasons you will need to be located within the state of New Jersey during the virtual session.

Can I get medication from you?

Sorry, no. As licensed therapists, we are not medical doctors and are unable to prescribe medication. However, we would be happy to assist you in finding a medication provider in the area!

How long should I expect to need therapy?

At Bergen Counseling Collaborative our mission to is meet you where you are on your journey. We assist you in identifying specific goals that you’d like to work towards. Your time and money are valuable and we are confident that we can deliver support services that meet your needs. We are trained in both short and long term treatment modalities that guide your towards achieving your goals.

Are your services confidential?

Always. Confidentiality is one of the most important parts of therapy. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust, and rest assured that we take that responsibility seriously. Bergen Counseling Collaborative is dedicated to keeping private discussions confidential.

*New Jersey state law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality, EXCEPT for the following situations:

  • Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders to the authorities, including Child Protection and law enforcement, based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.

  • If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threatened to harm another person.

Where should I go if I need immediate support?

If you or a loved one are unsafe and in need of immediate support, please go to the emergency room or dial 9-1-1.
